PRE-PAYMENT PLAN AND COLLECTION OF INSURANCE POLICIES:
NOTE: THERE WILL BE NO MONEY COLLECTED AT THE FIRST TOURNAMENT ON 5/10/2025! YOU MUST PAY YOUR DUES AND ALL ENTRY FEES PRIOR TO 4/20/2025 - NO EXCEPTIONS. SEND US A COPY OF YOUR INSURANCE POLICY AS WELL. IT SHOULD REFLECT A PER PERSON AND OCCURRENCE LIMIT OF $300,000 OR MORE. THIS CAN BE SENT TO STEVE AT THE ADDRESS BELOW (OR) E-MAILED TO ME IF YOU SEND AS AN ATTACHMENT... DO NOT SEND A PICTURE AS IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO VERIFY AND PRINT GIVEN THE PICTURE QUALITY THAT WE'VE SEEN IN THE PAST. MY E-MAIL ADDRESS IS SOTOOLE16@AOL.COM
THE ONLY THING WE WILL BE SECURING AT THE FIRST TOURNAMENT ARE WAIVER FORMS THAT WE WILL BE ASKING YOU TO SIGN THAT MORNING. SEE BELOW FOR DETAILS OF HOW TO PAY YOUR DUES & ENTRY FEES.
In addition to the payment of your annual dues ($100 per member) we will be moving to a pre-payment plan for all boats for the regular season tournaments (not the optional big money tournament). As you all know, the entry and lunker fees total $40. per member per tournament. 6 tournaments x $40. plus your $100 annual dues is $340. per member which needs to be paid prior to April 20th. That’s about two weeks prior to our first tournament which is slated for May 10th, 2025.. (nearly seven full months away). Any money paid is non-refundable. Many clubs do this already and it helps participation immensely, provides “known” payouts each and every tournament and should be a huge time saver and incentive for steady participation. Note: you can pay us via Venmo all at once or in installments. Steve has offered his help in tracking payments... (thank you Steve). The Venmo address to send payments to is @Steven-Avery-29. NOTE: Please include a note stating who you are, who you are paying for and your intentions to pay the balance if not paying in full.... ie: monthly, etc. If you wish to pay old school, kindly send a check payable to Last Cast Anglers to: Steve Avery, 35 Lincoln Street, Webster, MA 01570 ADDITIONALLY, IF YOU HAVE A CURRENT COPY OF YOUR INSURANCE POLICY, WHICH MUST REFLECT A MINIMUM LIABILITY LIMIT OF $300,000 PER PERSON AND PER OCCURRENCE, PLEASE SEND THAT ALONG AS WELL.

End of the year incentive:
This was our first year with very hefty tournament payouts., the overall feedback was VERY positive. Aside from the 1st place team having their dues paid for the following year, there are no longer year end cash prizes (except for $50 lunker prizes and a handful of handsome trophies). We wanted to come up with an incentive for finishing in those prior year end “money” spots so this is what we are doing. If you finish in the top third of the club, places rounded up depending on the # of boats, there will be an end of the year drawing (probably at our banquet/gathering) where one of those boats will have their entire year’s entry and lunker fees paid for the following season (exclusive of the big money tournament). It’s a $480. team prize and whether you finish 1st or 4th (based on a 12 boat field) you have an equal shot at winning this spectacular prize! You’re welcome!

Where your money goes: We think it’s important for you to know where your dues go each year. The following is a breakdown of the same. Insurance - $900., web site - $200, trophies - $175, year end lunkers - $100, upgraded tournament payouts - $300, permit fees - $100, club trail champions’ dues- $200. and of course the new end of year prize of $480. That’s ~$2,400 which is more than a 12 boat field’s annual dues since the club champions’ dues are paid by the club. We get $200 or so from the 50/50 annually so the current program will “break even” with a 12 boat field. We have a minimal working balance from prior years’ activities. Know that everything costs more each year so at some point, we will need to reevaluate... but, we are ok for now.
